Lao Food Blogs
by DinDin

Laocook.comI’d like to put two important Lao food blogs into the limelight. They are The Lao Cook and Laocuisine.

Laocook.com is created by Viengphranom Senathit (Vienne) who grew up surrounded by foods, more precisely, cooks. The hub of all his gatherings was always the kitchen, the heart of the home. Vienne has been a “Jack of many trades”, but his heart has always been in the kitchen, it is what he does best because he loves it.

Vienne presently lives in Spain, and is in charge of an international Brigade of cooks and Service staff. Together they put together new challenging ideas alongside traditional cooking methods. Vienne is on a journey of testing the bounderies that seperate Traditional and Modern Lao cooking.

Laocuisine.laLaocuisine.la is run by Darly or DJ for short. She decided to start a blog about Lao Cuisine although she is not a chef or a cook. She is a connoisseur of Lao food and cuisine in particular and she was born in Laos. She likes to share the joy and excitement of Lao cooking with others and it shows on her blog.

Darly presents information about ingredients used in Lao cuisine, a listing of essential equipments and utensils used in the cooking, an array of Lao recipes from top Laotian Chefs from around the world, along with articles relating to Lao cuisine.

Both blogs are highly recommended.
